COLLABORATIONS

An artist initiated crosscultural collaboration aimed at setting up discourses between four Australian artists from Community Printmakers Murwillumbah and six Vietnamese artists represented by Salon Natasha, Hanoi.

This exhibition expands upon Out of the Shadows (1) collaboration with Michael Baartz. I was not done with the subject I was investigating. The past still haunted and the shadow life it had assumed needed to come to life.

ARTIST RESIDENCY AT CPM WITH KAMIN LERTCHAIPRASERT

Kamin Lertchaiprasert represented Thailand in the 1996 Asia Pacific Triennial at QAG.
He accepted our invitation of a week’s Residency with Community Printmakers, Murwillumbah (CPM). Bonney and her partner Jon hosted him on their farm.

This work arose from an Artist Exchange Project with the Baguio Arts Guild in the Philippines in 1994. They make reference to popular culture and mythology, to legacies of colonialism, to technology and the forces of nature, and to deprivation and hope.
